Who hasn't dreamt of travelling to Argentina after taking a few classes of tango?

I think we've all been there when the mesmerizing world of tango embraced us... The wish to explore the birthplace of this deeply connecting dance just grew too big in some of us - this is how the story of Nocturna Tango Boutique begins.

"Mi Buenos Aires querido.." - sang the legendary Carlos Gardel. And yes, the city has its own bohemian charm which - if you let it - will completely absorb you. Well, that's what happened to many of us: the team of Nocturna is full of passionate women who have come to Buenos Aires to chase and fulfill their dreams. Today we are all porteñas, part of this vibrant melting pot that has welcomed people from all corners of the world for centuries.

It's no coincidence that Buenos Aires, with its rich cultural heritage gave birth to tango as we know it: this heartfelt, sometimes playful, sometimes nostalgic music and dance that lets us all connect with ourselves and with each other. To think about that by now tango is danced in almost every major city around the world..!

So it's no surprise that there is a kind of pilgrimage to the source of the ever-changing tango that one simply must complete. Some come once, some return again and again. There is always something new to discover: a fresh movement, a stylistic innovation that must be carried on and spread worldwide. Those who come and go, often take that important task upon themselves.

There are always a handful of people though who get trapped here for one reason or another. And they bring their personalities, their experience, their culture here to enrich Argentina and the development of tango.

Team Nocturna has people who came here to become professional dancers. People who ended up here for the love of Argentina. People who had to let go of their birthplace because of the darkening political climate. People who wanted to explore. People who stayed for love.

That's what unites us.
